Welcome
Welcome to the Sydney University Madrigal Society!

Our Society began in 1999 as four students singing Madrigals around a piano, but we have since evolved into a full chamber choir, performing everything from operas and Mozart's C minor mass to English lute songs and, of course, Madrigals. We perform one major concert each semester, and this semester we will be performing some staples of the Madrigal repertoire as well as exploring a range of lesser-known composers and languages.
If you are interested in singing with us, please contact us or come along to one of our rehearsals. Membership is open to all members of the University of Sydney Union (ACCESS members) — we don't have auditions — so anyone who thinks a semester of singing would be fun is welcome to join.

If you are interested in hearing about our upcoming concerts, please enter your details below to join our audience mailing list. We will be presenting a very special 10th anniversary concert "Sidere Musica Eadem Mutato" featuring Renaissance composers' interpretation of the heavens, in honour of the International Year of Astronomy, as well as some old Society favourites!
